Bowling Capital of the World — Where Michigan, Ohio & Indiana Bowlers are Headed
Bowling is a growing sport, there are an estimated 65,000 high schoolers enrolled in their bowling programs. High School bowling can lead to a college scholarship, a first PWBA Regional or a PWBA Queens title. There are so many possibilities of growing your game once stepping foot on the lanes freshman year of high school. There are Five senior bowlers that State Champs! W would like to recognize for their participation in high school athletics, the Michigan Junior Masters Association and other surrounding bowling associations in the midwest.

Anchor Bay — Melanie Straub
Dream Team member, 3 time regional title holder, MJMA title holder, Junior Gold Qualifier. Melanie will be attending the number #3 ranked and NCAA tournament runner-up team Arkansas State University in the Fall. Arkansas State is known to be a fierce team that has a Michigan bowler reputation. She will be following in the foot steps of Anchor Bay and Arkansas Alumni, Sarah Crowell.
Gobles — Morgan Brunner
Division 4, 3 time State Champion, NWIJTPA title holder, Dream Team member. Morgan will be attending Maryville (MO) in the Fall. Maryville was the runner up of USBC ITC’s and has a history of having Michigan Bowlers. Maryville is coached by PWBA Bowler Lauren Pate.
Holt — Alissa VanHorn
Alissa VanHorn is a MJMA title holder, Member of the Greater Lansing Dream Team and team state title holder. Alissa will be attending Trine University, a NAIA school with multiple top tournament finishes and appearances at higher level competitions. Trine has a state of the art bowling facility.
Wayland — Kadence Bottrall
Davenport University signee and member of MJMA along with other midwest associations. Kadence has a strong reputation of placing high, in high school and Junior Master tournaments. Her Father is a coach at Davenport and will continue to help her grow and learn through her years in college. Kadence is also a member of the Dream Team and Junior Gold Qualifier.
Hamilton Heights, IN — Kylee Trexler
Kylee has signed with NCAA top 10 team Louisiana Tech University. They had their most recent appearance at the NCAA tournament this year and also have a history of Michigan Bowlers. Kylee bowls in multiple Masters bowling associations including NWIJTPA and MJMA.
Smithville, OH — Brenna Hartzler
Brenna Hartzler will be attending the NCAA Famous Nebraska University. Nebraska is known to have national championships, PWBA bowlers and a state of the art bowling facility. Breanna is a Junior Gold qualifier, participates in MJMA and NWIJTPA along with others and is a multiple title holder across the country.
